Luke: I thought maybe I'd get you two back together

Lorelai: Thanks for reconciling us.

What was I reconciled with this weekend, you may ask? Ice Skating. Really, any form of skating. As you'll remember, I went roller skating last year and it was HORRIBLE!! I was just not cut out for gliding rather than walking on hard surfaces. It was the same thing when I went to an ice skating rink for a big stake activity and I spent the whole thing clinging to the wall. Wretched. Well, this weekend, Lauren invited me to go with her roommates up to Park City, and I gladly said yes (who wouldn't?) so we went up Saturday night and stopped at an outdoor skating rink. I really, really, REALLY didn't want to skate; I knew it would be traumatic. But one of Lauren's roommates, Kami, was determined to make me skate...she even plotted with Brooke to get me skates behind my back! So, I went out. I went a lap holding on to the wall. Then Brooke held my hands while I kept my legs stick straight and guided me across the middle. Then Kami made me skate to her with Lauren next to me, ready to catch my fall (of course she did that tricky thing where you keep moving farther away as I get closer!) Finally I got to the point where I could skate all by myself!! Now, don't take me wrong, I'm not heading for the olympics anytime soon and I look anything but graceful (in fact, one of the dad's on the outside of the rink continued to laugh at me every time I passed him) but I have greatly improved! Hopefully my skills stay in tact if ever I go ice skating again...anyway, that was way fun! Then we went to Dairy Keen (that's right) for dinner and then to Kami's family's condo. We just hung out that night, watching Harry Potter and then we were all SO tired that, as soon as we all got in our beds, we started talking to each other all the way across the house. Logical, right? We also went to a visitors ward for sacrament meeting that probably had 20 people...and it was testimony meeting. haha. It was very fun though. I also got to have my last roast Sunday with Amy (sad) and I had my final class of art. It was very fun; we all just presented our final projects and talked about how much we'd progressed. As soon as I get it back, I'll post pictures of all my projects. Also, on Friday night I hung out with Lauren, Brooke, and Kami and we watched Time Traveler's Wife and Letters to Juliet (college students are so productive!! haha). All in all, a very fun weekend...now it's time to get down to the studying!
*only picture...haha sorry*

I am so jealous that you spent the weekend in Park City. That's one of my favorite places! AND I love Dairy keen. Oh good times. Way to take up ice skating. Sounds like a fun activity we could do over Christmas Break. Your semester really is winding down, so crazy!

ONE of my wishes is to own a condo, cabin or a small shack in Park City. I love that place any time of the year. Sounds like such a fun weekend. Ice Skating is just not in the genes.
