Mini-Golfing with Christian Bale

Okay, I didn’t really go mini-golfing with Christian Bale (I wish!). I actually went on another date this weekend. This time, I actually knew the kid!! YEAH!!

His name is Scott. He’s the boy that I invited over to study physics (because Ashley told me I had to be risky) and he’s the FHE co-chair in our ward, so he’s like in charge of me since I’m an FHE group leader.  Anyway, we went on a double date with one of his friends and you know what Melissa and I decided? It’s so unfair that boys always get to go on dates with their friends, but the girls just have to go with their friends and never their own. lame. anyway, we went to play Mini-golf and didn’t take score, which was good because I was really not doing well. I was glad Dad wasn’t there to see because I don’t think he would’ve been to happy to admit I was his daughter. So then we played arcade games (which was not very fun, cuz arcade games are kind of boring…haha).  Then he bought me dippin’ dots (cuz I told him I haven’t had dippin’ dots since I lived in AZ). Oh, and when we were mini-golfing we played the “favorites” game, where you ask them what there favorite something is…it’s pretty self-explanitory…and I found out none of the people on my date had ever seen the Batman movies!! so we went and watched Batman Begins and then he said we’d have to go on another date and watch Dark Knight. haha. Anyway, all in all it was pretty fun…and it was good he asked me because otherwise I wouldn’t have had any risky stories to tell this week!! :)

I was SO outgoing this week…

So, on Friday I got asked on my first date ever. That’s right, I’ve never been asked on a date, and I don’t really think this one counted because a boy in my psych class said, “will you do me a favor? we’re having a group date tomorrow and my friend, John, doesn’t have a date, but he’s really nice and tall and attractive, will you go with him?”  keep in mind that I barely know the kid in my psych class who’s setting me up on a bind date. Anyway, so Amy and I looked him up on facebook and he has a mountain man picture! I guess he’d been living in Mesa (weird, right?) over the summer and grew out a nasty beard.  Luckily, that was shaved off for our date, but he was still really nerdy looking with his braces, and he was so nervous, which stinks because I was nervous, seeing as I’ve never done the dating thing. So, for our date we went to Wal-Mart and picked out 3 foods that we were gonna feed to another couple while they were blinded and they had to guess what it was. Then we went on a two mile walk to a park and did the food thing and then went to Costa Vida…

Breakdown:

The walk was a little too long for my liking because we didn’t talk as a group, we just talked as “couples.” Luckily, he was good at asking questions, and I’m pretty good at talking about myself! haha.  But I found out that he was like 26! Yep…his youngest sister is older than me (19).

Food eating: I was way nervous about being fed while blind folded, but luckily a girl fed me and was nice, while a guy fed John and was…not so nice. haha. I really liked all the girls that were there (there were 3 other couples), but I felt bad for one of them because she was like late 20’s and the other two girls were sophomores and I’m a freshman.  But all the boys were really weird, so I couldn’t flirt with any of them! haha.

Costa VIda: I really don’t like Costa…sorry to those that do. And, again, we all sat at like different tables because it was so crowded, so I had to sit alone with him again and make up conversation.  He seemed to think I was funny, but at this point, I found at that he’s a TREKKIE!! That’s right, he likes Star Trek and admits it. (I kept thinking of Luke Danes…what would Lorelia say if she knew?) Needless to say, since that wasn’t the only nerdy thing, I don’t really want to date him ever again. And when he walked me to my door (awkward) he asked for my number…

And Ashley told me I had to do 3 risky things this week, so then I was very outgoing and invited a boy over to study on Friday! I know right? Except, he kind of invited himself, but I agreed, so anyway, I’m pretty much super outgoing now. haha!! He’s the one that I agreed to do my physics homework with him and his friends and they were all jerks and it took like 2 extra hours. When he came over, he said they’d done the homework without him and it took them 3 hours, and we did it in 1 so I was like, ya…if we’re gonna study together we are not studying with them…but I didn’t say that.

The third thing I did (which, admittedly, I didn’t really have to do anything, but…you’ll see) was talk to this random boy. haha. He came to our apartment tonight and me, Melissa, Amy, and Madisen were just hanging out, well he knocked on the door and said that he was having a dance party at their apartment and he invited us and we just joked with him for a while, but then he left and we weren’t gonna go, and then he came back so we hung out with him for a bit and invited him to have cookie dough with us and he was way funny.

Anyway, I hope you’re all very proud. I felt like such a college kid this weekend! haha…just kidding.

Oh, PS, I’m also entering a writing contest called the Stephenie Meyer Writing Contest..haha. You’re suppose to try to imitate Stephenie Meyer’s style of writing in 100 word or less entries and you can submit three, so that’s what I’m gonna do. If you win, you get dinner and tickets to New Moon for two, 2nd place gets 2 New Moon movie tickets and popcorn, and 3rd gets….2 NEW MOON TICKETS! haha.

Story of the Week: 2x

Well, this week was super eventful!! haha. On Thursday, I did something I never do…I hung out with boys. haha. Okay, not really “hung out,” we worked on Physics homework together. And, it was actually such a waste because it took me like 3 times as long to do my homework than it would’ve if I’d done it by myself, but this boy in my ward and in my physics class has invited to me to do homework like 4 times, and every time I’d already done my homework, so I said no and this time I hadn’t and I felt bad, so I went.  His a pretty cool kid and we’re on the FHE Council group together, so it was probably good to make a friend, even though his friends were super weird/rude.

The other exciting story from this week is that I went to an Institute dance for UVU with Madsien and Melissa. You’d think that would be risky enough, but I took it one notch further and invited a girl from my English class to come with us because we had an extra wristband.  It was pretty fun to people watch, let me tell you. And Lauren (English friend) got along well with Melissa and Madisen. I only got asked to dance one, and the boy was kind of weird, but it turned out that he’d gone to high school with my FHE husband, Trevor. What a small world. But then he was awkward after we found that similarity out because he was like, “you’ll have to say, ‘Trevor I met a guy named Logan and we were close to each other, and he was touching my hand and I was touching his shoulder, blah, blah, blah” Yeah, that was awkward…haha.

Oh, and on Saturday, Madisen came over to watch John Tucker Must Die (love it!) and her roommate asked her if it was okay if they invited some guys over and drank at their apartment. Yeah…So she told them it wasn’t okay with her and she was going to stay at our apartment, so we had a little sleepover. Poor girl, I’m so happy I don’t have to deal with that kind of thing. I would never want to.

Anyway, that was my exciting week…I hope you enjoyed my stories, I always try to do at least one exciting thing a week so I can blog about it. :)CIMG1105 CIMG1104

**I didn’t really have any pictures from my exciting stories…but on Tuesday night Amy came over to watch 90210 with me, and then we made dinner and, while doing dishes, we did some pan dancing…yea. she’s hilarious.

Story of the Week #3: My Day in Arizona

Well, I think all of you who read my blog know this, but I was in Arizona for a day! It was a pretty spontaneous trip. Melissa called me before my Psych class on Friday and said, “Will you come to Arizona with me tonight?” so I asked Dad and he said “oh…okay…” So we packed and left and by three in the morning, there we were: Mesa, Arizona.  I slept in pretty late on Saturday because I’ve been feeling sick and I was exhausted from getting in so late.  I went and saw my high school friend, Laura, who’s going to ASU, and then Aunt Mae and Preston picked me up to go to Queen Creek with them. I got to see Whitney and Stelios, because they were in town, and got to see all of Tawny's family.  We had a bbq and played some card games and just got to hang out. Then I went back to Melissa’s, woke up at 7 and got ready to head back to school…

I hope no one ever tries to tell me I’m not spontaneous, because I will just tell them this story. :)
