Home At Last!

Due to popular demand (I think Ashley may have mentioned it in passing) I thought I’d put up some pictures of the artwork by Melissa and me….Nebachadnezor

Here I am with Nebuchadnezzar…he is the Snowman that we skewered and put on the grill…^

Snow Castle

And here is our Snow Castle…^(please notice the mini-snowman we have guarding the entrance)

This last week wasn’t super exciting. I had my first week of college finals. I didn’t do too bad (Imagine me saying that like Dad). I got all A’s and B’s in my classes, so that’s good. The only real fun thing I did all week was hang out with Andrew. We study for Chemistry on Tuesday and then Biology Wednesday morning and French Wednesday night. On Thursday I helped Amy move into her new apartment, took Jamie to his babysitter’s for the Christmas break, cleaned the apartment for cleaning check, and then hung out with Andrew. I painted his nails black(him and his brother wanted to paint their nails black to freak out their mom) and then I helped him pack up all of his stuff (he’s not going back to BYU for winter semester :( )and clean his apartment for his cleaning check. Friday afternoon I drove home with a friend from our Boise ward and I am super happy to be home. It has already been lots of fun. I caught up on some SNL and Late Night shows with Paul and RaeAnn on Friday, visited Blue Sky Bagels, and then Dad got home on Saturday. And, of course, I have been getting in as much Baby J time as possible…Jenna Kim

Last Real School Week…this semester at least…

Last week of classes!! I would be more excited that that part of the semester is over, except for the fact that it means I have finals all this week :(

Sunday (the last one): Amy, Andrew, Madisen, Melissa, and I had a yummy roast dinner (still not quite up to my dad’s standards, but what can you do?)

Monday: We had our last FHE activity :( I am really gonna miss my FHE group…they are so awesome. And I’m gonna miss being the mom. Anyway, for our last activity we had a Christmas party. We did a little gift exchange and then played the game 2 Truths and a Lie. Then, after it was all over, two of the boys (Andrew and Mike) pretty much sneak-attacked me. They were hiding behind a car and as soon as I walked out of the building they were running at me with arm-fulls of snow. Of course, I was not wearing a coat since I was just planning on walking up a flight of stairs to my apartment. Needless to say, I had snow down the front and back of my shirt and my hair was drenched.  The nice part was that they walked me back to my apartment at least.

Thursday: Finished Friday Night Lights :(

Friday: Watched 90210 with Amy, then did some physical science studying and then we had a waffle/pancake party with Melissa and Andrew (waffles because Amy loves waffles and pancakes because Andrew loves pancakes…Melissa and I are the only not-picky eaters I guess.)  Then Andrew and I went to the Ward Pot Luck, which was fun, and then we went roller skating with the ward, which was dangerous. I feel…a lot…7 times to be exact…and I’m still sore!  Andrew had to teach me how to do it because I can’t even think of the last time I went roller skating (all I remember is having a pair of roller skates when I was little that were adjustable, so I probably had them from like age 5 to age 10…) and then, all my FHE sons tried to help me become an independent skater. I don’t think that it’s the right sport for me.

Saturday: Melissa and I made a snow castle (like a sand castle) and then we made a mini-snowman and put him on a skewer and set him on the grill behind our apartments. It’s pretty funny, if you ask me. Andrew said we were cruel, but I could tell he really thought it was hilarious cuz he was really trying to hold in a laugh.  Then we went and got grapefruit, cuz it was on sale.

Pretty exciting week, right? Risky thing of the week: Trying to roller skate. That was definitely risky to my life!

This Week in P-Town

Well, I’m sorry Ashley, but I wasn’t super busy this week…but it’s kind of your fault!! Haha. So, here’s the highlights from this week:

Monday: For FHE we decorated sugar cookies (which, of course, I made because my husband can’t do anything…anyway..) and then delivered them to some other FHE groups in our ward. It was really fun!

Tuesday: Instead of doing homework, I fed my newest addiction…Friday Night Lights. It’s a SUPER good show that Ashley introduced to RaeAnn and I over Thanksgiving break (hence why the lack-of-riskiness was your fault, I was watching FNL instead of being risky! haha) Anyway, while I was watching, I was texting Andrew and so he came over to get me to stop watching. We hung out for like 4 hours… :)

Thursday: I saw Quinton Riches…the boy I loved Junior year of high school. That was super eventful!

Friday: Amy and I watched 90210, One Tree Hill, and Friday Night Lights together. I love having Amy watch Tv shows with me!! Then we went to California Pizza Company (?) with three of her friends from the dorms she lived in last Fall. (that’s kind of risky right??  I could’ve stayed home.) While we were there I saw some “friends” from Boise (Trevor Anderson and Andrew….don’t know his last name…he went to Eagle, but he was in our ward before we moved to AZ) so that was random. Then Amy and I went back to my apartment and just had girl-chat time. It was fun.

Saturday: We made cinnamon rolls for our physical science TA, Chad, cuz he’s awesome (when I say “we” I mean Melissa). Then I hung out with Camille, Saudalia, and Leslie, three friends of mine from Mountain View, because Leslie was visiting for the weekend. Then Melissa, Andrew, and I went grocery shopping to get a roast and stuff for Sunday dinner and I invited Andrew to join us for dinner! Then we hung out at our apartment with Melissa’s friend, Adrianne, and made pralenes and listened to music. Andrew’s taste in music reminds me of Brett/Ben. It’s kind of weird. haha.

Well, I hope ya’ll had a good week (that’s right, I said ya’ll…blame Friday Night Lights!!) Can’t wait for Finals to be done :)
