Halloween in Tooele

Well, this weekend, Danny and Sarah were nice enough to let me crash their Halloween party since I was all alone in Provo. Plus I was going a little crazy; I needed a trip out of my apartment and away from BYU students.  Danny came and picked me up on Friday morning.  We got to Tooele just in time for some yummy lunch and then I got to have some quality play-time with Donald while the other kids were playing with their cousins.  Man, that little boy REALLY likes his cars/trucks/helicopters/all forms of transportation. And he loves to wrestle…and climb on top of my stomach when I’m laying on the ground and then jumping off. He could probably do that all night. Anyway, I had lots of fun playing with Donald.

On Saturday, for breakfast we had ORANGE pancakes…that’s right. They were good. Then we got everyone ready in their costumes (I wish I’d remembered to bring my camera!! We’ll all just have to check Sarah’s blog for pictures, hopefully).  Rebecca had me do her hair and make-up for her (she was a clown).  Then we had lunch with Sarah’s sister’s and their fams.  Then we hit up the trunk-or-treat (which I remember being much more exciting when I was a young one) and then I took Rebecca and Sherri trick or treating. I was having a lot of flashbacks all day of when we lived in Boise and RaeAnn would get me all ready for halloween (especially like 5th grade) and I wanted her to hang out with all of my friends and stuff like that. Anyway, it was lots of fun to go trick or treating with them, I hope they had fun too.  But I did feel kind of old for the first time.

I came back to Provo on Sunday and got to drive a car for the first time since August! I hadn’t realized how much I missed driving, but it was lovely to be in the car alone for an hour with just my thoughts and the road. Don’t make fun of me…haha.  And when I got home we started our roast and rolls for Sunday dinner, which was delicious if I do say so myself.

All in all, a great weekend.

Well no risky stories here, but a great post. I'm glad you could get away from the Byu students for a weekend, except I think Both Danny and Sarah are BYU alumni? Haha. I miss you, only a few more weeks!

Oh how I miss the days of people glaring at me for being a 20-year old with a 10*-year old daughter. Can I help it if I was hotter than your friends middle-age chaperones??? So humble on my bday.
