"And how about a hotdog for the table? You'll go in on that with us, won't you Mom?"

I have been a negligent blogger!! I'm sorry! It has been BUSY in the...4 weeks since Brooke's wedding (wow, I cannot believe it's been 4 weeks!) So, let me give you some highlights....
  • BYU Catering has been really picking up the business so it finally feels like I have a job again! In the past month I have eaten: 3 steaks, the best augrauten potatoes in the world, honey mustard chicken, shrimp, 2 bbq chickens, chicken cordon bleu, cheesecake, coconut cake, carrot cake, pink cake that was delicious, you get the point...it's been some great free food :)
  • Went to see I am Number 4 with Sam and Emily (such a wonderful movie and an amazing book!! Highly recommended!! Plus the main guy is way attractive...)
  • Had a fun visit from Brother and Sister Standage and Stella! We got to go to my fave Mexican Restaurant place in Provo (it's autentic!)
  • Watched the Veronica Mars series, obviously I was busy :) It was very good and I definitely recommend it even though the ending was disappointing because I think they thought they were gonna have another season, so it didn't really end
  • Had a way fun visit from Aunt Mae and RaeAnn!! We went to Zupas with Emily and Sam (where RaeAnn became one of Sam's favorite people, haha), stayed in a hotel, went shopping in SLC (where I got the cutest outfit), ate a lot of very yummy food, went to Aunt Cheryl's Surprise Party, and...saw the vitamixer guy!!! (RaeAnn getting her sweet snowball revenge on Aunt Mae at Lowe's)
  • Got to talk to Chandler on the phone for the first time in 2 years!!! Yeah!! My first friend to come home from a mission!!! (don't worry, he's not super awkward :) )
  • Had a "Welcome to Utah" party for Justin at Emily and Sam's (of course the picture isn't with Justin! haha)
  • Wrote the most serious essay of this semester...14 pages on Herman Melville! That has been occupying all of my brain space for like the past 3 weeks, but I am almost done with the final now and then I can turn it in and hopefully be happy with life :)
  • Took all of my midterms!! (believe it or not, D&C was the hardest)
  • Went to Olive Garden with Justin and the Miller's for Sam and Katherine's birthdays (but that wasn't the only Olive Garden trip in the last month...I also went with my future roomies: Lauren and Brianna)
  • Finally went to J-Dawg's!! (hence the hot dog themed title)
  • Got in a cart accident at work...it was tragic (mostly for my shoes and my tights)
  • and tonight I have a Girl's Night planned with all the G-dale girls! Should be fun :) (I mean...there will be chex mix, so...)

You can't come alone. An unmarried woman of certain age, unescorted, wearing the clothes you tend to wear. People will think things, bad things.

Lorelia: What things?
Mrs. Kim: Like you're a tramp and possibly for sale.

WEDDING NUMBER 3
That's right party people, this weekend I got to go to another wedding for another best friend...this time it was for my BFF Brooke! It was an emotional ride and definitely one of the most jam-packed weekends of my life.We arrived at 1 AM on Friday...We did some bachelorette party shopping (boas, crown, etc.), watched a little Supernatural, and then went to the bachelorette party. We had dinner at The Cheesecake Factory and then went to Aunt Mae's basement for some quality time. We played this game where we asked Keith a bunch of questions and Brooke had to try and give us his answers. If she got them wrong, she had to stick a huge piece of bubbliscious bubble gum in her mouth...it got pretty disgusting. On Saturday, we got up early and went to the temple for the sealing. While the sealing was going on, I went and saw Amy for a little bit. I made it back in time for the temple pictures (of course, I didn't bring my camera and facebook will no longer let me save pictures to my computer so...sorry you'll have to look elsewhere for those). Then we had a yummy luncheon (thank you Keith's family) and I got in a quick nap before going to Scottsdale with Emily, Sam, and Brett. There is this awesome restaurant there where Sam and Emily go every time they come home to get creme brule (which is to DIE for, apparently). We also got some yummy bread, but no one liked their crust so they all piled it on my plate for me to eat.And then there were these ducks there and Brett was throwing pieces of food to them. But then he hit one of the ducks right in the face with a piece of fortune cookie...yes we were those people. Then we went to the reception! We got to wait in line to see Brooke, then they cut the cake. It was adorable. They did the bouquet toss (don't worry, I caught it) and then the guarder toss and then they had their first dance. (this is when the waterworks took control). It was a very fun and so cute and it was great to see Brooke so extremely happy! After the wedding, a bunch of people came over to Aunt Mae's, where we played the picture telephone game. It was definitely hilarious. I got to bed around 1 and had to get up to leave bright and early in the morning. Of course, the trip is never long enough, but it was so fun and I was so glad I got to be there to see beautiful Brooke Farnsworth :)

"I have the prettiest mother in the whole world"

^that quote really has nothing to do with my post except that it's from The Bad Seed and Lorelai quotes it and it has become of favorite of mine and Emily's...and we were quoting it on our drive to....
ARIZONA!!
the place I love and miss. often. Last night, Sam, Emily and I drove down to AZ for my friend Brooke's wedding (which is tomorrow). First off, the road trip was great because I got sunflower seeds and we listened to The Format as we drove into Phoenix (at 1 in the AM). There was some serious nostalgia in the car. As soon as I got to my aunt's house I couldn't help but smile; I love this house! So many memories...it definitely feels like coming home. I also got a text from Aunt Mae saying "there are hot wings and egg rolls in the freezer!" Gotta love that Aunt of mine!
Today we're going to have a bachelorette party for Brooke at Cheesecake factory (love) and possibly some Panda Express (double love)! Tomorrow I get to go to Mesa and see Amy and Kelsey really quick before I get to see Brooke come out of the temple. Then it will be lots of partying and celebrating their LOVE!
